COLOMBIAN HAMMOCK

Discover our genuine Colombian hammock made in the Atlántico state, used as an everyday bed in Colombia. We have selected a high-end factory that is unanimously recognized in its region, where the majority of inhabitants sleep in hammocks. Our customers report usage lasting from 5 to 15 years, depending on the care provided.

The lifespan of our hammock depends on two different types of use: intense outdoor use without maintenance, or careful use with the hammock brought indoors during rain and machine washed at 40°C once a year. Our sturdy hammock fabric (360 gr/m²) is made of 70% recycled cotton and 30% polyester, which earned us the "Sustainable Development Trophy" from our chamber of commerce.

Our hammock is easy to maintain and can be machine washed at 40°C, or even 60°C if necessary. We also promote fair trade with all our suppliers, whether industrial or artisanal. This year, we made a donation to the 24 workers of this factory so they could enjoy a better holiday season and a better carnival!

How is a new collection of fabrics for our hammocks created?

First of all, since we use recycled cotton in its natural color, the manufacturer sends us samples of available threads by mail. Then, we look for a theme, a guiding thread that will be the soul of this collection. Recently, during a long trip, we fell under the spell of Andalusia. That's it, we have the main theme!

All that remains is to visit Alesko, the artist who has been creating our designs since the company's beginnings in 1988... Alesko gives us a computer-designed work. Then, a technical process is carried out for each hammock size: counting warp threads, choosing the weft thread, selecting the color of cords and arms.
