Mexican hammock L 3 blues: a unique handcrafted creation

The Mexican hammock L 3 blues combines different shades of blue in a weaving made entirely by hand. Made in the homes of Yucatán, each piece has a slightly different color distribution, giving it a unique character.

A true Mexican 4-thread mesh

Its fine, stretchable, and knotless net naturally adapts to the shape of the body. The many threads distribute the load over the entire surface and offer flexible support without any feeling of compression.

An L size to relax alone

Designed for one person, this model has a stretchable sleeping surface of about 180 × 250 cm and a total length of 380 cm. To fully enjoy its comfort, lie down slightly diagonally to properly open the net.

With a weight of about 1.1 kg, it moves easily between the house, terrace, and garden.

Installation and accessories

The hammock can be hung between two trees, two walls, or under a beam with our hammock fixings. It can also be installed on a wooden stand or a metal stand compatible with its length.

A tote bag included to facilitate storage

The L 3 blues hammock comes with its tote bag. It facilitates transport and protects the hammock’s arms to prevent the threads from tangling.

The net should be gently hand washed with a mild detergent. Before washing, tie the two arms together and remove any jewelry or accessories that might catch on the mesh. Then let the hammock dry naturally before storing it in a dry place.

Repairing a Mexican hammock

Having spent a week learning to weave this hammock on the island of Holbox in the state of Quintana Roo in Mexico (thank you Maria for your patience and thank you to your husband for the many boat rides), I am able to repair them. If one day you have some broken threads or the hammock arms too tangled, call me at the store and we will see together what can be done. But be careful, if 4 threads side by side are broken (i.e., a whole mesh) then repair is no longer possible because rebuilding a whole mesh without a guide thread takes a good half day!
