The size L hammock "Albizia".
The size L, with a fabric measuring 140cm in width and 200cm in length, is ideal for an adult up to 1.75m tall. Beyond this height and for better comfort along the diagonal, it is preferable to choose size XL or for very tall people, size XXL. Even though our size L hammocks can easily withstand the weight of two adults (our test showed a resistance of 478 kg!), there will be a bit of a lack of space. If you like using the hammock as a duo, prefer our XL hammock + XL stand sets or XXL hammock + XL stand where the hammock fabric is wider but especially longer.
Properly caring for your hammock
All our Colombian hammocks are made from Ecotec recycled cotton thread (this is the secret to a hammock that does not deform, does not fade, maintains good durability over time, etc.) and you can wash it in a machine at 40° or even 60° if necessary.
The Latino Relax L hammock stand
An excellent FSC certified stand which, in addition to being made from naturally rot-resistant wood, larch, has dimensions where the ratio between height and length provides the right curve for a hammock. If a hammock is too tight, lying becomes stiff and the flat diagonal position or sitting position becomes impossible. If you compare all the stands available on the Internet, the hanging height is crucial. Too many stands have a height of 110 or 120 cm.
Properly caring for your hammock stand
For maintenance, this stand already has a layer of varnish. This varnish will degrade after 3 to 4 years if you let the wood gray. Sand the surfaces then apply two coats of saturator, to be renewed every 4/5 years. The saturator is very easy to apply, and it protects well against UV and rain. During winter, do not store this stand in a dry place. It needs the external humidity. If you disassemble it for storage, find a place sheltered from rain and UV, that is ideal. If you do not disassemble it and simply leave it outside, slightly loosen the nuts (wood swells in winter) and avoid having the feet in contact with wet soil by placing bricks for example under each end.
