Elisa lives in Masaya, Nicaragua. We have been working together for over three years now. In the beginning, she mainly handled visuals and communication, but gradually, she started participating in the creation of our designs. Last year, she was offered a new challenge: to invent hammocks that stand out from the ordinary. She immediately said yes and enthusiastically began designing new styles, focusing on elegant touches and unique color combinations. The result? A wonderful surprise! What do you think?

An ethical and ecological commitment

At Tropical Hamac, we don't choose a thread at random. More than ten years ago, after testing several recycled cottons that disappointed us (they pill, lost their colors when washed or under the sun), we found the thread that truly stood the test: Ecotec recycled cotton.

Ecotec is an Italian brand that had a brilliant idea: to collect only fabric scraps from garment manufacturing, sort them by color, shred them, and then spin them again to make recycled cotton composed of 80% natural fibers. The result: a soft, strong, vibrant yarn that, above all, retains its bright colors over time.

Today, the vast majority of our hammocks are woven with this thread, like our Elisa model. In addition to being environmentally friendly, it ensures that your hammock will retain its beauty season after season. And because we have been working hand in hand with our Colombian artisans for years, you have in your hands a product that is ethical, durable, and true to tradition.

Easy maintenance for a long life
