How to maintain your wooden stand?
The current trend is to let the wood gray naturally with UV exposure. If you like this look, then do not apply any product and leave it outdoors without any treatment. It will last many years. If you want to preserve the original color of the wood, apply a transparent or tinted saturator in the first year. There are many shades available. Ask at your hardware store. This stand is made of Class 4 autoclave-treated spruce. It is a softwood, so the product you choose must be suitable.
Our advice: wood needs ambient humidity. A stand stored in a very dry place during winter can crack and age poorly. So leave your stand under shelter or outdoors, taking care to unscrew the bolts in preparation for high humidity or frost. Here is a link to our blog on stand maintenance if you want to know more!
How to maintain your hammock?
A hammock should be treated like household linen. Wash it as often as you want. Machine wash at 40°C, then fold and store it dry.
