This collection is unique for its finishes with the mamacuba. It is this hand-woven band that is inserted between the arms of the hammock and the fabric. An additional asset for more strength, comfort, and not to forget the beautiful artisanal touch! A gesture, by the way, that we were trained in during our last trip to Brazil in November 2018. We learned how to make the mamucaba and also the knotted fringes. It is long, very long to make. If this hammock were to be made in France, you could multiply the price by at least 5!
At Tropical Influences, we have been creating our own hammock fabric models for nearly 25 years in numerous factories in Latin America. We have often innovated with color combinations that might have seemed a bit risky. Like the mix of sky blue with burgundy in our "Manalinamoa" model from the 2017 collection. With this "Sertao" model, we innovate once again by combining brown, camel, and red. But this combination, first created on a computer, captivated us all. Bingo! We launched production. The first sample arrived, and we are quite certain that this model will mark our history by remaining No. 1 in the top 50 for many weeks...
