Outdoor Stand Maintenance:
Our in-store experience counts! The manufacturing comes from a Polish specialist in garden furniture. The heart-treated spruce in 10-ply laminated wood has excellent outdoor properties. Regarding maintenance, there are several options:
- You do nothing and the wood will gray with UV exposure. Possibly after many years, with moisture, mold will appear on the uprights. In this case, apply a light bleach-water mixture and 5 minutes will be enough to remove these marks. The wood will temporarily turn whitish and will regain its gray appearance after an additional year.
- You want to apply a wood stain, which is an excellent barrier against UV rays and rain. In this case, get a 0.5L can of the best stain you can find at your DIY store, apply 3 coats from the start, and then every 2 to 3 years, you will need to apply a maintenance coat after light sanding.
- You want to keep the original color but don't want the wood to gray. In this case, apply a coat of "saturator" and follow the product instructions.
There are many wood treatment products available. Spruce belongs to the fir family, so conifers. Avoid products for exotic woods!
In all cases: do not store it dry during winter (wood needs outdoor humidity), loosen all bolts by 2 turns (wood swells slightly in winter).
Hammock Chair Maintenance:
It is a textile product and should be maintained as such. Washing it in a machine at 40°C at least once a year at the end of the season will remove all organic residues, pollens, etc. that have embedded themselves in the fabric. Yes, there are some, even if you can't see them with the naked eye!
