The Spruce Hammock Chair Stand:
The Paquito stand made of laminated spruce requires very little maintenance, if any at all. If you leave it outside as is, it will turn gray and shiny in the sun. You can apply a wood stain if you wish, or use a saturator that prevents the wood from turning gray. Do not store it in a dry place during winter. The wood needs ambient humidity. If you leave it outside all winter, loosen the bolts by two turns with a wrench as the wood swells during this cold and humid season. Tighten them again in spring. The hammock chair seat should be machine washed from time to time, especially if you use it outdoors. Washing removes pollen, dust mites, natural organic debris, fungi, etc. from the fabric.
