An XL hanging chair with metal support
At Tropical Hamac, we love durable products (we have even been awarded by our chamber of commerce for this) but no product is durable without a minimum of care. Here is what you need to know:
Support maintenance:
This item is not stainless steel (unfortunately the price would become unaffordable), so it is not guaranteed against rust. If you use this support outdoors, we have observed (in our oceanic Landes climate 5 km from the beach) that the first signs of oxidation appear after 2 to 3 years. There is a miraculous paint that you can find in DIY stores. "Hammerite" paint is applied in a single coat directly on the metal after a very light sanding and will protect your support for another 3 to 4 years. It is available in the original hammered gray color as well as many other shades. For any questions about our products, we are always available in the store or by phone.
Hammock-Chair maintenance:
The seat cover is machine washable at 40°C. When used outdoors, pollen, organic debris, mites, and fungi eventually settle into the fabric. It is essential if you want your chair to age well to wash it at least once a year at the end of the season. Goodbye all problems! Likewise, if you cannot enjoy it indoors all year round, store it in a dry place. Avoid garden sheds and other damp places frequented by mice!
