Outdoor maintenance of the hammock chair stand:
Very durable outdoor spruce stand with minimal care. The manufacturing comes from a Polish specialist in garden furniture. The heart-treated 10-ply laminated spruce has excellent outdoor properties. Regarding maintenance, there are several options:
- You do nothing and the wood will turn gray with UV exposure. Possibly after many years, with humidity, mold will appear on the uprights. In this case, apply a mild bleach mixture and 5 minutes will be enough to remove these marks. The wood will temporarily become whitish and will regain its gray appearance after an additional year.
- You want to apply a stain or saturator which is an excellent barrier against UV rays and rain. In this case, take a 0.5l can of the best stain you can find in your DIY store, apply 3 coats from the start and then, every 2 to 3 years, you will need to apply a maintenance coat after a light sanding.
- You want to keep the original color but do not want the wood to gray. In this case, apply a clear stain or saturator and follow the product instructions.
There are many wood treatment products available. Spruce belongs to the fir family, thus conifers. Avoid products for exotic woods!
In all cases: do not store it dry during winter (wood needs external humidity), loosen all bolts by 2 turns (wood swells slightly in winter).
Maintenance of the hammock chair:
It is a textile product that is maintained as such. A machine wash at 40° at least once a year at the end of the season will remove all organic residues, pollens, etc. that have embedded in the fabric. Yes, there are some, even if you do not see them with the naked eye!
Choice, even more choice!
We do not photograph all our sets. Therefore, if you do not find a model to your liking, you can create your own combination between the Paquito suspended chair stand with either our XL fabric hammock chair or our XXL fabric hammock chair or even our Suspended hammock chair.
In this case, the price will be 10 € higher because the hammock chair will include the wooden bar with its suspension. If you do not want to receive them, please tell us by message in your order and we will proceed with a 10 € refund.
