Hammock Chair Made in Brazil

An ancestral know-how for this Brazilian hammock chair with meticulous finishes. We have been present in Brazil since 1990! Beware of imitations. Unfortunately, "Brazilian hammock" is not a protected designation of origin. Brazilian origin is a guarantee of expertise. A fabric that does not deform, seams that do not come undone, balance in the hammock arms, a hammock that will stand the test of time even after many machine washes. In short, comfort and guaranteed quality.

You will only find this model with us because although the fabric is made in Brazil, the design is created in France by our longtime artist: Alesko. 

Observed Duration

We have been in stores since 1993, which allows us to have a good understanding of the longevity of all our products. We distinguish two different uses.

Intense use: for someone who leaves their hammock outdoors day and night for 5 to 6 months of the year. Without maintenance or washing.

Careful use: for someone who leaves their hammock outdoors but brings it inside when rainy weather is forecast for several days. A passing rain shower is welcome. The hammock is machine washed at 40°C at least once a year at the end of the season, then stored indoors during winter. The arms are regularly checked.

A Robust and Eco-Friendly Hanging Chair

Ultra-robust and non-deformable, this fabric (360g per m²) is consistent. The yarn used is recycled cotton: 70% cotton from the textile industry (clean scraps with solid dyes) and 30% polyester. The polyester filament is there to strengthen the recycled yarn. This yarn is truly ecological as it earned us the “Sustainable Development Trophy” from our Chamber of Commerce.

A high cotton content is pleasant for skin contact. Fabrics with 50% or more polyester as well as all 100% synthetic fabrics should be avoided. Many imitations have fabrics that eventually bag and deform.

A 125cm Wooden Bar!

Look no further, we are the only ones to offer such a long bar, and so be it for us regarding "oversized" parcels and extra shipping costs. The wider the bar, the more space we have between the elbows and the less we feel enclosed. This improvement seemed essential to us.

A 160cm Deep Fabric

This size offers the possibility to sit comfortably cross-legged in the hollow of the fabric.

Easy Maintenance

We invite you to remove the seat from this wooden bar and wash it in the machine at 40°C or even at 60°C occasionally. The hammock is a textile product!! Consider it like household linen, wash it from time to time!
