The "Fuego" hammock chair, a timeless piece at Tropical Influences

At Tropical Influences, we have been creating our own hammock fabric designs for nearly 25 years in numerous factories across Latin America. We have often innovated with bold color combinations. Like the mix of sky blue with burgundy in our "Manalinamoa" model from the 2017 collection. Latin America is very fond of bright colors. But as French people, we get tired quite quickly of these too flashy mixes. This "Fuego" model combines warmth and cheerfulness while remaining sober. Observed durability

We have been in stores since 1993, which allows us to know well the longevity of all our products. We distinguish 2 different uses.

Intense use: for someone who leaves their hammock outside day and night for 5 to 6 months of the year. The arms get tangled! Washing is unknown.

Careful use: for someone who leaves their hammock outside but brings it in when rainy weather is forecast for several days. A passing rain is welcome. The hammock is machine washed at 40° at least once a year at the end of the season then stored indoors during winter. The arms are regularly checked.

A robust and ecological hammock fabric

Ultra-robust and non-deformable, this fabric (360 g/m²) is consistent. Many hammocks have fabrics that eventually sag, trapping you inside. The thread used is recycled cotton. 70% cotton from the textile industry (clean scraps with stable dyes) and 30% polyester. The polyester filament is there to strengthen the recycled thread. This thread is truly ecological as it earned us the "Sustainable Development Trophy" from our chamber of commerce.

A maximum of cotton will be pleasant for skin contact. Fabrics with 50% or more polyester as well as all 100% synthetic fabrics should be avoided.

A 160cm deep fabric

This size offers the possibility to sit comfortably cross-legged in the hollow of the fabric.

Easy maintenance

We invite you to remove the seat of this chair from the wooden bar and wash it in the machine at 40°, or even at 60° from time to time. The hammock is a textile product!! Consider it like a tablecloth, curtains, or a denim jacket—wash it from time to time!
