Very durable set because it's a bit of an obsession for us at Tropical Influences. Since 1988, we have loved strong, sturdy hammocks. Here is a great example with this set: The stand is made of 60mm diameter tubes, and we are the only ones to use this size. Its dimensions (especially the hanging height) provide optimal comfort in the hammock. Yes, a hammock must be well curved to be comfortable diagonally. As for the hammock itself, the quality of the thread is the secret to its longevity and resistance to machine washing. This Andalusian XXL hammock (made in Colombia but of our own design) can be machine washed up to 60° without affecting its colors! An ultra-strong hammock stand made of 60mm tubes.
Specifically designed for XL or XXL hammocks, the AZTEKA stand is made of anthracite gray steel. Manufactured according to our own Height/length requirements, it provides the ideal curve for your hammock. Maintenance can be done with "Hammerite" anti-rust paint if necessary. A hammock that our customers often replace after 10 years!
The pattern is created in the Landes, right here with us! It is the work of a local artist with whom we have been collaborating for over 20 years. The Albizia model comes from our latest collection, whose theme was Andalusia. Discover all our Andalusia-inspired models.
The hammock is Colombian-designed and made of recycled cotton. Its sleeping surface is 160 cm wide. Ideal for a tall person or for two. Maintenance involves machine washing at 40°C (remember to tie the arms to prevent them from tangling).
Strength of the ropes of our hammocks:
We specify for our Colombian hammocks a strength of 16 kg per rope. Strength in numbers, and with 46 ropes, the hammock can obviously support a considerable weight. But what happens when you sit just at the edge of the hammock before standing up, and all your weight is supported by only a few ropes?
It should be noted that for hammocks, the breaking point must be divided by two to define the maximum allowable weight. That is the rule.
This means that each rope of this hammock has a breaking point of 32 kg. So there is absolutely no problem sitting at the edge of the hammock!
