The comfort of a hammock depends as much on its fabric as on its suspension. With its 393 cm length and 155 cm height, the Maya stand gives the POLIGONO XXL the necessary space to form a welcoming curve.
In a hammock without spreader bars, this curve allows you to lie slightly diagonally and enjoy a flatter resting position. The adjustment chains provided allow you to adjust the suspension as needed.

Five-ply laminated spruce wood
The Maya stand is made of five-ply laminated spruce wood, treated with autoclave to improve its resistance to outdoor conditions. Its curves highlight the hammock while creating a harmonious set.
The stainless steel hardware completes this structure designed for outdoor use. Since 1988, Tropical Hamac has relied on its experience with Latin American hammocks to offer stands whose dimensions promote comfortable suspension.
A dense fabric made of recycled cotton
The POLIGONO Red features a fabric of 360 g/m², composed of 70% recycled cotton and 30% polyester. The cotton provides a pleasant feel on the skin; the polyester reinforces the recycled thread.
The cotton fibers come from clean scraps from the textile industry. Their reuse gives a second life to this material while allowing the creation of a dense fabric suitable for regular use.
In a test conducted by Tropical Hamac, the hammock withstood 357 kg without breaking. This result demonstrates its strength during the test and does not correspond to the maximum load capacity of the hammock or the stand.
Colombian patterns and artisanal finishes
The POLIGONO design is part of the Colombian jacquard tradition. This red and off-white version highlights the weaving patterns and naturally pairs with the wood of the stand.
Several artisans are involved in its making: preparation and assembly of the fabric, hems, creation of the suspension ropes, and finishing of the handles. Each step contributes to the hammock’s quality and perpetuates a know-how passed down through generations.
Maintaining the wood for long-lasting enjoyment
The autoclave treatment of the stand can be complemented by applying a saturator suitable for exterior wood to limit the effects of rain and UV rays. The frequency of maintenance depends on the exposure of the stand and the recommendations of the chosen product.
