Our products are truly very durable and unlike those who only sell hammocks online, our store, which has existed since 1993 and in which we only offer hammocks, allows us to have a good perspective on the customer experience. On the Internet, we never receive feedback after several years of product use. However, in the store, my customers who come to renew their hammock arrive saying to me, "Hey, it's you again, but your hair is much grayer..."!!!
This item is not stainless steel, so it is not guaranteed against rust. If you use this support outdoors, we observe (in our oceanic Landes climate 5 km from the beach) that the first signs of oxidation appear after 2 to 3 years. There is a miraculous paint that you can find in DIY stores. The "Hammerite" paint is applied in a single coat directly on the metal after a very light sanding and will protect your support for 3 to 4 more years. It is available in the original hammered gray color as well as in many other shades.
The seat cover is machine washable at 40°C. Used outdoors, pollen, organic debris, mites, and fungi eventually settle in the fabric. It is essential if you want your chair to age well to wash it at least once a year at the end of the season. Goodbye all problems! Likewise, if you cannot enjoy it indoors all year round, store it in a dry place. Avoid garden sheds and other damp places frequented by mice!
