We were the first to import hammocks from Latin America. At the time (more than 30 years ago), hammocks were not as widespread as they are today. There was a lot to do to popularize this object that is a thousand years old. Thirty years later, we are still here offering you the best in Latin hammocks. This model is a good example: a chair hammock woven in Colombia, combining the craftsmanship of artisans and one of our most aesthetic steel hammock chair stands. A solid set that has proven itself, also available in a smaller size: Hammock chair with ANDALOU XL metal stand Soledad
This item is not stainless steel, so it is not guaranteed against rust. If you use this stand outdoors, we observe (in our oceanic Landes climate 5 km from the beach) that the first signs of oxidation appear after 2 to 3 years. There is a miraculous paint you can find in DIY stores. The "Hammerite" paint is applied in a single coat directly on the metal after very light sanding and will protect your stand for another 3 to 4 years. It is available in the original hammered gray color as well as many other shades. To learn more: Metal or wood hammock stand – Maintenance
The seat is machine washable at 40°C. Used outdoors, pollens, organic debris, mites, and fungi eventually settle in the fabric. It is essential if you want your chair to age well to wash it at least once a year at the end of the season. Say goodbye to all problems! Likewise, if you cannot enjoy it indoors all year round, store it in a dry place. Avoid garden sheds and other damp places frequented by mice!
