Maintenance of the larch hammock stand
Being naturally rot-resistant wood, it can remain outdoors all year round. Its varnish will eventually disappear after about 3 years. At that point, it's time either to sand it down thoroughly to restore its natural color and let it gray with the UV rays of the sun, or to apply a wood stain in the color of your choice. Very important: this stand must not be stored dry during winter. Loosen the bolts by two turns with a wrench because the wood swells a bit during winter and leave it outside. That's all. If you live in an arid region like the southeast of France, for example, prefer our spruce stands. See our set spruce stand + 3g ris hammock which will have better durability over time. Larch is a wood that prefers relatively high humidity.
Maintenance of the double hammock
The hammock is a textile product! We cannot say this enough! Take care of it exactly as you do with your sheets or blue jeans. A Brazilian who sleeps in this hammock every night washes it every 10 to 15 days in the washing machine. Washing it means removing all microscopic organic debris that falls into the fabric (pollen, leaves, fungi...) and which, if trapped inside, will make a fine feast of the cotton! Hence, some hammocks get moldy. Note that even polypropylene hammocks, which are advertised as rot-proof for outdoor use, also get moldy because organic debris has the same effect. Be careful, beware....
A real freestanding hammock for one to two people
This larch freestanding hammock set will delight all those who enjoy space alone or with a partner. The 160 cm wide fabric suits all adults up to 1.85 m tall. Beyond this height, we strongly recommend using an XXL hammock. The 240 cm length of the fabric allows use by two people.
