The size L, with a fabric measuring 140cm wide and 200cm long, is ideal for an adult up to 1.75m tall. Beyond this height and for better comfort along the diagonal, it is preferable to opt for size XL or, for very tall people, size XXL. Although our size L hammocks can easily support the weight of two adults (our test showed a resistance up to 478 kg!), they will lack a bit of space. If you enjoy using a hammock as a duo, prefer the XL or XXL sizes, which have a wider but especially longer fabric.
All our hammocks are made from a superior quality thread (this is the secret to a hammock that does not deform, does not fade, and maintains good durability over time, etc.) and you can wash it in the machine at 40°C or even 60°C if necessary.
An excellent support that, in addition to being made from naturally rot-resistant wood, larch, has dimensions with the right ratio between height and length to provide the proper curve for a hammock. If a hammock is too tight, the lying surface becomes stiff and the flat diagonal position or sitting position becomes impossible. If you compare all the supports available on the Internet, the hanging height is crucial. Too many supports have a height of 110 or 120 cm.
For maintenance, this stand already has a layer of varnish. This varnish will degrade after 3 to 4 years, and that is when maintenance should begin. Sanding followed by a coat of stain or saturator. From our experience, we end up preferring the saturator. It is very easy to apply and protects well against UV and rain. During winter, do not store this stand in a dry place. It needs the external humidity. If you disassemble it for storage, find a place protected from rain and UV, which is ideal. If you do not disassemble it and simply leave it outside, slightly loosen the nuts (the wood swells in winter) and avoid having the feet in contact with wet soil by placing bricks, for example, under each end.
