Care for the Wooden Stand

The advice from Tropical Influences after more than 15 years of experience with our wooden stands:  it is not recommended at all to store our stands in dry places during winter. The wood dries out and eventually cracks. Wood is a natural material that needs external humidity. You can store it sheltered from rain and UVs under a canopy or a terrace, for example. At the end of the season, wash your hammock in the machine and store it inside your home, not in a garden shed (humidity, mice), and loosen all the stand bolts by two turns of the wrench because in a cold and humid climate, the wood swells a bit. That’s all. A hammock stand that lasts!
