Genuine hammock made in Colombia in the state of Bolivar, this model is used there as an everyday bed. We have been working in Colombia with this manufacturer since 1993!
We distinguish two types of use for this XXL hammock:
Intense use: left outside day and night, for several consecutive months, without particular maintenance.
Careful use: brought indoors in case of prolonged heavy rain, machine washed at 40 °C at least once a year, then stored in a dry place during winter.
With a minimum of care, this hammock can accompany your family for many years. For outdoor installation, consider pairing your hammock with our metal stands or our wooden stands.
Ultra-strong and non-deformable, this fabric (360 g/m²) is consistent. Many hammocks have fabrics that eventually sag and trap you inside. The thread used is recycled cotton. 70% cotton from the textile industry (clean scraps with fixed dyes) and 30% polyester. The polyester filament is there to strengthen the recycled thread. This thread is truly eco-friendly as it earned us the "Sustainable Development Trophy" from our chamber of commerce.
A maximum amount of cotton will be pleasant against the skin. Fabrics with 50% or more polyester as well as all 100% synthetic fabrics should be avoided.
This XXL hammock is designed with 32 suspension cords, each capable of supporting 16 kg, for a total capacity of 512 kg. During our tests, this model even resisted a load of 681 kg with our Azteka metal hammock stand! With Tropical Influence, you can use your hammock with several people without fear, ideal for moments with family or friends.
Each hammock passes through the hands of various artisans passionate about this work, which resonates as a deep cultural imprint. There, the hammock has a thousand years of history and traditions. Assembly of the fabric, technical drawing specifications Tropical Influences, hem, arms, handle, cord, pullado, etc... So many steps that require ancestral know-how.
This hammock is fully machine washable at 40 °C and, if necessary, at 60 °C. Before washing, tie the cords to prevent them from tangling. Let it air dry, but avoid the dryer. Annual maintenance at the end of the season will remove organic debris responsible for mold. Remember to store it inside your home rather than in a garden shed to avoid humidity and rodents.
For prolonged outdoor use, why not add an adaptable mosquito net or a protective tarp to shield it from the elements?
It is above all a state of mind. We started in 1988 with respect for all our suppliers, whether industrial or artisanal. Long before the term "fair trade" came into the spotlight. It is therefore support, presence, loyalty, and fair payment that we promote with all our contacts.
Suspended between sky and earth, let yourself be rocked in the unparalleled comfort of an extra-large and authentic hammock, designed to last and enhance your moments of relaxation.
