The XXL Choco Oro hammock was designed by Elisa, who is originally our marketing manager. For a little background, we challenged her to create two hammock models that break away from the usual paths. The idea? To move away from the traditional multicolored Latin American style and explore softer, warmer tones that are trendy. In short, colors that can blend just as well indoors as outdoors.

Two months later, the "Choco Oro" models and "Elisa (and their) cushions) saw the light of day. In August 2025, it was love at first sight: the success was immediate, and sales followed, whether in the classic hammock version or hammock chair. A beautiful story of creativity! Thank you, Elisa!

Simple maintenance tips

What is the lifespan of this hammock ?

Since 1988, we have been selling hammocks in stores and then through our website, which gives us good insight into their durability. In reality, it all depends on how you use them. We distinguish two main types of usage:

Intensive use (5/7 years):

This is the case of someone who leaves their hammock outside day and night, for 5 to 6 months of the year. The result: the arms (the rope ends) end up getting tangled, the fabric wears out faster, and you never really know if it has been washed or not. In short, it ages quickly.

Careful use (10/15 years):

Here, the hammock stays outside during the day, but we bring it in if the weather forecast predicts several days of rain. A little shower now and then is no problem. It is machine washed (40°C) at least once at the end of the season, then stored indoors during the winter. The ropes are checked regularly. Result: the hammock lasts much longer, quite simply.
