A high-end Brazilian hammock.
Originating from a renowned hammock factory in the Sertao desert in Brazil, this hammock is full of artisanal details!
The fringes are entirely handmade with crochet. It takes a full day of manual work to make the fringes for both sides of the hammock!
Two strips called Mamucaba appear on each side of the hammock. These strips, designed to distribute weight in the hammock and prevent the ropes from rubbing against each other, are entirely handmade on a very rudimentary loom.
The thread used for this hammock is recycled cotton that can be machine washed at 40°C. Wash this hammock at least once a year, and given the quality of its weaving and the number of suspension ropes in the hammock’s arms, there is a good chance it will last you 20 years.
But then, why such a low price for an item of such weight and quality? We are importers and have no intermediaries. Moreover, our reputation for over 30 years has made us the largest seller of luxury hammocks in France.
If we have to sell this hammock to resellers (decor shops, garden furniture stores, etc.), their price will be close to double.
