Fully handmade Mexican hammock from Yucatan. We select traditional models in Mexico, not the "quickly made" ones for tourist shops. The pleasure of the Mexicans when weaving this hammock is to vary the color combinations. For this reason, each model is unique. Storage bag included (Tote bag). It is very practical to never get the hammock arms tangled again.
The colors of the hammock are those visible in the first photo.

One of the advantages of this hammock is that it is lightweight and does not take up much space in luggage. A hammock designed for adventure, perfect for travelers. As such, it joins the range of parachute fabric hammocks, essential for nomads.
Many years ago when I started traveling the world in search of hammocks (so that was 38 years ago in 2025), the parachute fabric travel hammock (the one that fits in your pocket and weighs only 180 grams depending on the model) had not yet been invented. The Mexican hammock remains a good option when you want an excellent travel hammock.
Since each hammock is unique, there may be slight differences between the hammock you receive and the one in the photo. But the colors shown are respected. It's not easy to sell unique pieces; it’s a lot of work for photos!
The Tropical Influences advice on the Mexican hammock: the larger it is, the more comfortable it will be and the tighter the weave. The usage record is held by a gentleman who came to the store to replace his Mexican hammock that he had for 24 years!

Installing a Mexican hammock requires choosing the right anchor points and following a few simple rules to ensure comfort and safety. Here are our recommendations:
The most traditional method to install a Mexican hammock is to hang it between two sturdy, spaced trees (about 3 to 4 meters apart). Our hammocks measure nearly 4m, so your attachment points should be about 1.8 m from the ground creating a smile shape.
If you don’t have trees or prefer a more stable installation, opt for a hammock stand. We have three stands suitable for Mexican hammocks:
If you have posts or sturdy walls, you can also install your hammock between two solid attachment points. Make sure the posts are strong enough to support the weight of the hammock and the people using it. For more information, contact us.
