This unique hammock in France combines traditional Brazilian know-how with a creation by Alesko, an artist based in the Landes region. For several years, he has been designing new collections every three years that meet with great success. We thank him for bringing our ideas to life with such accuracy and talent, collection after collection.
The hammock is made from a cotton thread with a significant environmental impact. It is manufactured in Brazil from "Ecotec" recycled ecological cotton. Its soft and ash tones remain vibrant in sunlight and after washing. Its fabric (180 x 240 cm) makes it ideal for the larger European sizes that we are and for use as a duo, offering an enveloping and relaxing sensation. To discover all the advantages of the fabric hammock, check out our blog: The fabric hammock, its strengths.
The Azteka stand is designed with 60 mm diameter metal tubes for optimal stability (this is our latest modification). It allows easy suspension of the hammock for two adults and maintains a flexible sleeping surface thanks to its perfect hanging height. Compatible with all hammocks measuring up to 3.75 m in length (final length after use). This stand fits perfectly with most of our XXL hammocks as well as all our double models.
At Tropical Hammock, we love durable and environmentally friendly products. Under our temperate climate, there is no miracle: for the metal to remain elegant outdoors, a single coat of Hammerite paint (Castorama, Leroy Merlin) before rust appears will keep the stand impeccable for several years. In a perfect world, we would offer this stand in stainless steel… but since the price would be multiplied by five, everyone would leave the site faster than a hammock in the wind!
So, to extend the life of your stand, protect it from rain and repaint slightly oxidized areas with special metal paint at the first signs of rust. After 3 to 4 years, a complete repainting helps maintain its aesthetics and strength. To learn more about stand maintenance, check out our blog: Metal or wood hammock stand – Maintenance.
As for the hammock, it will easily last you 10 years (this is the average duration we observe with our customers in-store) by washing it once a year at 40°C at the end of the season. The colors will remain intact. Store it folded and dry.
To fully enjoy your hammock, do not hesitate to explore our accessories section. You will find cushions, mosquito nets, fastenings, and other items to personalize and optimize your comfort. All our accessories are designed to perfectly match our hammocks and stands.
The cushion is truly the item to pair with it, you won’t regret it!
