An authentic Colombian hammock

The Polygon XL Black is a hammock woven by artisans from Barranquilla, in the north of Colombia. Made in recycled cotton Ecotec, This hammock respects the environment while offering a great softness to the touch. For more than 20 years, we have been collaborating with these artisans to offer durable and fair hammocks, true witnesses of Colombian culture.

A true 2-seater

On the market, many "fake" double hammocks only show a width of 120 to 140 cm! Be careful: width is essential for to be able to sit comfortably at a diagonal angle, whether it's as a duo or solo.

With a width of 160 cm and a total length of 355 cm, this double hammock can comfortably accommodate one person alone, two adults, or several children. The 88 suspension cords secure the fabric, allowing it to support more than 350 kg, as shown in one of our photos. The hammock offers a pleasant rocking motion, while the included crescent moon-shaped cushion supports the neck for reading or napping. Maintenance and lifespan

Machine washable at 40°C, this hammock can last up to 15 years with careful use: stored dry with sheets and blankets in winter, washed at least once a year, and with the ropes regularly untangled. With less careful use, it can last about 5 years: left outside all year round, stored only a few months in a garage, never washed, and with tangled ropes. Advantage of the canvas Its black and white design hides small stains, making it ideal for a cottage or public use.

Azteka XL Metal Stand: Design and Durability

TheAzteka XL metal stand was developed exclusively by Tropical Hamac to ensure an ideal height and curve. Its 60 mm diameter tubes, compared to 40 mm for most competitors, provide perfect stability and easily support the weight of two adults swinging simultaneously.

Compatibility with XL hammocks

This stand is suitable for all hammocks measuring up to 3.75 m from one loop to the other after prolonged use. It can therefore accommodate our... XL hammocks as well as most of the XXL hammocks, offering even more space to enjoy the hammock. When you buy a new hammock, it can stretch by 5 to 10%, which is completely normal. The stand comes with included chains, allowing you to adjust the hammock according to your preferences and to accommodate the way it stretches over time.

Maintenance and lifespan

Since the metal is not stainless, slight signs of rust may appear at the joints or welds after several months. As soon as they appear, it is recommended to touch up the areas with a special metal paint, such as Hammerite, to extend the lifespan of the frame. After 3 to 4 years, it is advisable to repaint it completely to maintain its appearance and make it look like new.
