Specifically designed for XL and XXL hammocks, the AZTEKA stand is made of anthracite gray steel. Developed according to our own height and length criteria, it guarantees the best possible curve for your hammock. If needed, a simple maintenance with Hammerite anti-rust paint will be enough to restore its shine. (see our blog) how to maintain a hammock stand
For more than twenty years, we have been creating our own models here in Landes, in collaboration with a local artist, Alesko. With a few exceptions, such as this hammock inspired by a purely Colombian pattern, all our designs come from this artisanal approach.
This hammock is part of our timeless models, also available in blue:
The hammock, of Colombian design, is woven from recycled cotton. Its sleeping surface, 160 cm wide, is ideal for lying diagonally – the best position in a hammock – provided you are not taller than 1.80 m. Beyond that, we recommend choosing our metal stands paired with an XXL hammock.
Maintenance is simple: machine wash at 40°C, preferably inside a pillowcase (remember to tie the arms of the hammock to prevent them from tangling). See you in 10 years?
For our Colombian hammocks, each rope has a strength of 16 kg under normal use. With 46 ropes distributed on each side, the hammock can therefore support a significant weight thanks to the load distribution. But what happens when you simply sit on the edge, concentrating all the weight on just a few ropes?
It is important to know that in the case of hammocks, the rule is to divide the breaking point by two to determine the maximum allowed load. This means that each rope actually has a breaking point of 32 kg! You can use it safely!
