The size L hammock: A single-person hammock

The size L hammock features a fabric 140 cm wide and 200 cm long. It is perfectly suitable for a person up to 1.70 m tall. Beyond this height, and for better diagonal sleeping comfort, we recommend opting for a wooden hammock stand + XL hammock set, or even a wooden stand + XXL hammock set for very tall people over 1.80 m. Although our size L hammock can easily support the weight of two adults (tests have shown resistance up to 478 kg), a wider and especially longer fabric offers significantly superior comfort for relaxing moments as a duo.

Like all hammocks offered by Tropical Hamac, this model is made from high-quality cotton thread, selected for its strength and durability. This expertise allows the hammock to retain its shape over time, better resist washing, and preserve the intensity of its colors. Easy to maintain, it can be machine washed at 40°C, or even at 60°C when necessary.

The Latino Relax L hammock stand

An excellent stand which, in addition to being made from naturally rot-resistant wood, larch, has dimensions where the ratio between height and length provides the proper curve for a hammock. If a hammock is too tight, lying down becomes stiff and the comfortable flat diagonal or seated position becomes impossible. If you compare all the stands available on the Internet, the hanging height is crucial. Too many stands have a height of 110 or 120 cm.

For maintenance, this stand already has a varnish layer. This varnish will degrade after 3 to 4 years, and that is when maintenance should begin. Sanding followed by a coat of stain or saturator. From our experience, we eventually prefer the saturator. It is very easy to apply and protects well against UV and rain. During winter, do not store this stand in a dry place. It needs the outdoor humidity. If you disassemble it for storage, find a place sheltered from rain and UV, which is ideal. If you do not disassemble it and simply leave it outside, slightly loosen the nuts (wood swells in winter) and avoid having the feet in contact with damp soil by placing bricks, for example, under each end.
