Support made from spruce wood. FSC wood sourced from sustainably managed forests. 5-ply laminated wood. A product that is not only durable but also provides optimal comfort thanks to its dimensions, which we specially order from the Polish factory. Polish manufacturer specializing in outdoor furniture.
Our maintenance advice for the support:
- Either you leave it outside without doing anything to it, and it will become gray and shiny.
- Or you apply a wood stain, but in this case, a quality stain must be applied in 3 coats on the assembled support, and a maintenance coat will be necessary every 3 years.
- Or you apply a wood saturator in a single coat on the assembled support. This product, effective against UV rays, will preserve the original color for many years.
In any case, never store this support in a dry place during winter. Wood is a living material that needs external humidity. Protected from UV rays and rain if you wish, but not in a dry place. During winter, loosen all bolts by turning them 2 turns, as the wood swells a bit during this cold and humid period. I also recommend placing a small brick under each of the 4 feet to elevate it and avoid leaving the feet in damp soil throughout the winter. There are many wood treatment products available. Be careful to choose a product compatible with the spruce family wood species. Do not use products intended for exotic woods.
Our maintenance advice for the hammock:
It is essential to wash your hammock at least once a year at the end of the season in a washing machine. This will remove pollen, mites, stains, and fungi that can damage the fabric if you store it during the winter without washing it. To wash it in the machine, tie the arms of the hammock together (to prevent tangling), place it in a pillowcase (to protect the fringes from twisting in the drum), use regular detergent, and do not tumble dry. Do not store your hammock in your garden shed during winter but keep it indoors in a dry place.
