The Mexican hammock is a relatively personal hammock. You need to be a bit careful and make sure not to damage the threads. For young parents with small children, it's okay. But for teenagers who party a bit too much, it won't last long. In that case, prefer a canvas hammock. However, it is the hammock that supports the most weight (the union of the threads makes the strength) and we can show you a photo with 800 kg in this hammock! In fact, this hammock will last 20 years for one person and only 6 months for another. Experts know what I’m talking about.
Before making your choice, it is important to know the main differences between the net hammock and the canvas hammock.
The advice from Tropical Influences on the Mexican hammock: the bigger it is, the more comfortable it will be, and the tighter the mesh will be. The usage record is held by a gentleman who came to the store to replace his Mexican hammock that he had for 24 years! Because each model is unique, there may be slight differences in colors.
The Mexican hammock is the best hammock when it’s very hot. Its fine and airy threads allow air to pass through, keeping you cool, unlike canvas hammocks which can quickly become stifling. Ultra-light, it rolls up and slips easily into its bag, perfect for your outdoor walks. In terms of comfort, it’s a real cocoon: the threads perfectly adjust to your body to offer soft yet firm support.
Yes, of course! However, be careful not to leave it exposed to the sun or rain for too long. It can stay outside, but preferably sheltered. This way, you will preserve its beautiful colors and avoid it getting dirty. Wash it in the fall and store it in a dry place.
Do not wash it in the machine, as you risk damaging the threads. Use a bucket or a large container for cleaning. Soak the hammock in soapy water (without detergent), gently scrub it, then let it soak while making sure to bring out the rings well. Then, let it air dry by hanging it as usual.
