A double hammock like you rarely see! Handwoven in the village of San Jacinto, this model pays tribute to the famous Colombian hat. Woven from 100% soft cotton, this hammock is spacious, and above all… unique. A real favorite for those who love beautiful things with a soul. Only one copy! Tropical Hammock exclusive.
This traditional hammock was woven in the village of San Jacinto, a region recognized as the heart of Colombian weaving. It’s a unique model: there is only one copy. Needless to say, if you fall for it, don’t wait too long… because once sold, it won’t come back!
What makes it even more special is its pattern. Usually, Colombian artisans weave in lines parallel to the hammock, as their vertical loom doesn’t really allow other options. But here, they managed to create a perpendicular pattern, which is extremely rare for a Colombian hammock. It’s a real feat, giving this model a unique character.
Entirely handmade, with natural cotton, it offers generous comfort, perfect for two adults. A hammock rarely seen, and found only at Tropical Hamac.
When you look more closely at the fringes of this hammock, you discover a detail unlike any other: two woven hats… but not just any! They are sombreros vueltiaos, the famous traditional hats of the Colombian Caribbean coast.
This pattern is no accident. It pays tribute to a true national pride, symbolizing Colombian artisanal know-how. In fact, this hat is so important that it has been recognized as a cultural symbol by the Colombian Congress. And here, the artisans of San Jacinto, with whom we have worked for a long time, wanted to incorporate it into the crochet fringes, entirely handmade.
It’s rare, beautiful, and meaningful. This kind of detail is found only in unique pieces like this one. A hammock that tells a story, and not just any story: that of a country, a craft, a people.
With its generous dimensions (1.65 m wide by 3.85 m from ring to ring), this handwoven hammock is a real comfort cocoon, whether for one person alone or to snuggle up with two.
Outside? Yes, of course, as long as you remember to bring it in when the sky turns bad. But where it truly reveals its magic is indoors. Hung in a living room, a sunroom, or even a bedroom, it brings a warm touch and a little piece of Colombia into your home. And then, sheltered, its fabric will keep all its beauty for years.
It’s also a great way to invite craftsmanship into your décor (not just for looks, but to tell a story, with meaning). A unique piece, both a relaxation object and full of character. Now all that’s left is to find its place… and to help you install it properly, we share a practical article full of tips (we promise, it will inspire you):
