The Venezuelan Luxury Hammock: A Rare and Comfortable Treasure

These hammocks are becoming increasingly rare because they are difficult to obtain. Venezuela is not an easy country, and we are increasingly hesitant to cross the border to make our purchases there.

Venezuela is one of the largest hammock countries. They have two words to describe a hammock: “Chinchorro” if it is made of netting and “hamaca” if it is made of fabric. Surprisingly, Brazil, which is also a major hammock country, has no specific word to describe this object. There, they say “rede de dormir,” which literally means: sleeping net.

A Hammock to Replace Your Bed

This hammock is huge, and its very thick fabric offers exceptional comfort. Its slightly loose weave provides a unique sensation, among the best you can find for a fabric hammock. The fringes, carefully crafted, give it a refined style and a precious look, down to the smallest details. Its extra-wide fabric makes it so comfortable that it can replace your bed and promises you peaceful nights, far from insomnia.

Installation on a Hammock Stand

For an elegant and perfectly adapted installation, we recommend the 10-ply Spruce MAYA KING-LUXE wooden stand. Designed for our large luxury hammocks from Latin America, it offers the ideal curve to enhance this Venezuelan model while ensuring optimal stability. With its thick fabric, this hammock prefers sheltered places: veranda, covered terrace, or even indoors… It takes a little time to dry, but its comfort is well worth it.
