A genuine hammock made in Brazil in the state of Ceará, this model is used there as an everyday bed. We chose a manufacturer that operates in the high-end market and is unanimously recognized in its region where almost everyone sleeps in a hammock! We observe among our customers a usage ranging from 5 to 15 years depending on the care each person gives.
This hammock is made up of 32 cords in the arms, each with a resistance of 16 kg. That’s a total of 448 kg! Moreover, technically, the breaking weight must be divided by two to get the maximum load. We always underestimate the maximum allowed load in our technical sheets. With a hammock Tropical Influences, have no doubt about its capacity to hold your whole family!
We invite you to wash this hammock in a machine at 40° or even 60° if necessary. Know that a Brazilian washes it every 10 to 15 days when it is their bed! Most hammocks are washed cold. It all depends on the thread. At Tropical Influences, choice and quality are paramount. A good hammock is above all a good thread
It is a state of mind above all. We started in 1988 with respect for all our suppliers, whether industrial or artisanal. Long before the term "fair trade" came to light. It is therefore support, presence, loyalty, and fair remuneration that we promote with all our contacts.
Based in a semi-arid region of northeastern Brazil, where the climate is dry and hot with little rainfall, our manufacturer exclusively uses two raw materials: colored organic cotton and recycled cotton, which do not require water for their production.
The colored cotton is grown in the state of Paraíba without chemical additives and is certified as an organic product by Ecocert. The agroecological management implemented has no impact on the health of workers or on the environment. Furthermore, since there is neither irrigated cultivation nor dyeing, the pieces made by the company save 87.5% of water in their production process.
About 400 families in the state of Paraíba are involved in a local production chain, ranging from farmers to workers in a textile factory. Associations of rural communities, such as the Quilombos and farmers, are trained.
Most artisans work at home, mastering techniques such as macramé, crochet, and embroidery, and craftsmanship is a fundamental source of income for women living in remote areas.
