Proven durability: from 5 to 15 years depending on use

We know the longevity of our hammocks thanks to our physical store and field experience spanning more than three decades. The MARIPOSA XXL model can accompany you for 5 to 15 years, but it all depends on the care you give it.

🔸 Heavy use: the hammock stays outside all year round, without washing or storing – it will last several years but will age faster.
🔸 Careful use: by bringing your hammock inside during heavy rains and washing it at the end of summer at 40°C (or even 60°C), you greatly extend its lifespan.

An ultra-resistant fabric with incomparable comfort

This XXL hammock is made with a dense 360g/m² fabric, non-deformable, soft, and strong. It avoids that “closed cocoon” effect found in many low-end models. Note: the more cotton a hammock contains, the more pleasant it will feel to the touch. Beware of 100% synthetic models!A good hammock is above all a good thread

• 70% recycled cotton from the textile industry (clean fabric scraps)

• 30% polyester to reinforce the thread’s strength

Exceptional strength: tested up to 681 kg

The MARIPOSA hammock is equipped with 32 suspension arms (cords), each capable of supporting 16 kg. In theory, that makes 512 kg, but in our tests, it even held 681 kg with our Azteka metal stand, without breaking.

Handcrafted finishes from an ancestral know-how

Each Colombian hammock is the result of meticulous work carried out by several artisans respecting local traditions: weaving, fabric assembly, making the suspension arms, hems… Everything is handmade with passion.

Care Instructions

1. Machine wash at 40°C (60°C possible if necessary)
2. Tie the arms before washing
3. Air dry
4. Do not use a tumble dryer
5. Winter storage indoors (avoid damp shelters or rodents)
