It is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful hammocks in our collection… but we’ll let you be the judge. This model stands out thanks to the remarkable hand-woven macramé fringes, crafted by an artisan from San Jacinto: a city in northern Colombia, renowned for its expertise in the art of hammock making. There, the hammock is a living tradition dating back to pre-Columbian times.
With its light green shade, it exudes a sense of calm and softness. It can be installed both indoors and outdoors, depending on the atmosphere you want to create.
This is the ideal hammock to combine decoration and relaxation. It brings real personality to a space and will not go unnoticed. Warning, this is a unique piece. If you fall in love with it, don’t wait!
Acrylic offers two major advantages. First, it does not fade in the sun: the colors remain vibrant over time. Second, it resists moisture much better than cotton. Perfect for outdoor use, where our hammocks often find their place.
Another feature: acrylic keeps you warmer. That’s why we only use 20% of it inside the yarn. Result: a sturdy hammock, made to last, but still pleasant to the touch.
That said, we still recommend installing it in a sheltered place, indoors or under a covered terrace. The fabric is thick and takes time to dry: if you leave it outside, remember to bring it in regularly. How to install a hammock inside a house?
The macramé fringes, knotted using ancestral techniques, add a delicate decorative touch. In Colombia, they symbolize elegance but not only that. Among Colombian artisans, the more intricate the fringes are, the more valuable the hammock is considered. And this is not just a saying. This detail truly reflects the time, patience, and craftsmanship invested in its creation. To learn more, read our article exploring their history: The fringes of the hammock, origins and history
The hammock handles, as strong as rock, are also handmade from cotton rope. They reinforce both ends of the hammock and ensure its stability. This rustic detail also adds charm to the hammock and highlights its artisanal character.
To hang this artisanal hammock under the best conditions, we recommend the Maya King spruce stand. It is a wooden hammock stand, laminated, class 4 and rot-resistant, custom-made in Poland, specially designed for very large Latin American hammocks over 4 meters long.
If you prefer to hang it from a beam, a tree, a load-bearing wall, or even the ceiling, that is also perfectly possible — just use our suitable fixings available in our accessories section.
